Locations:

• Home base for BootCamp will be the Digital Media Center in Herring Hall. On Saturday, participants in THATCamp Texas will gather in the Kyle Morrow Room on the third floor of Fondren Library.

Lodging:

Rooms are available at the Hilton Houston Plaza/Medical Center, which is about a 10-15 minute walk from the Rice campus, for $130/night. Just ask for the “Rice rate” when you register. Several other hotels are close to campus and may offer discounted rates if you mention Rice (rates are dependent on availability). These include:

• Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Medical Center Visitor, Staff & Faculty Rate: $89. It’s about a 20 minute walk from the university.
• Houston Marriott at the Texas Medical Center: Visitor, Staff & Faculty Rates: $139/Weekday; $99/Weekend. This hotel is about a 10-15 walk from the university, and is also close to the light rail line.
• Courtyard by Marriott Houston Medical Center: : Visitor, Staff & Faculty Rates: $79. This hotel is about 1.8 miles from Rice.
